Happy Easter Everyone
Wow--the easter bunny must love me.
Grace had a great first easter. She woke up to a basket from the easter bunny full of fun things! Then a mean duck dressed as a bunny kept following Grace around. My parents bought her a dunk that sings and walks and Grace was not too sure about it at first. She has now gotten used to it and drags it around by its ears. Grace didn't really get the whole egg hunting. She was more interested in chewing on the plastic eggs. Our neighbor, Brooke, was as happy as can be about this because it meant more for her!
We hope everyone had a great day on Sunday.
It's Spring!!
Happy Spring to everyone. Grace is so excited for the sunshine to come out so she can go outside and play. Here is a 10 month update (yes, I realize that was almost a month ago and her 11 month bday is just around the corner). I am lame!!
Easter pics to come momentarily.

My Mom is so Lame!
Yes--that's me. I have been having a hard time keeping up with the blog lately. Just too much else to do! I figured you all missed seeing the Grace pics though so here we go! Grace is a busy girl lately and in to EVERYTHING! She is so fast now that I have to lock her into any room that we are in in order to keep an eye on her. We have finally had success with food too. She just didn't want to have to eat that baby mush and prefers real food like pizza crust and brownies instead. Who can blame her?
We hope everyone is enjoying this spring-like weather we are having in Seattle!

Back on the ball!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are finally moved and somewhat settled. Grace has had so much fun exploring the new house. She has learned that cabinets and drawers contain fun things so now she must open them all!! The cage, I mean playzone, is more important than ever. However, of course she wants to just explore the house so she gets mad when I put her in it! Grace keeps trying more and more each day--mostly related to movement. She's not interested in learning to wave or eating--weird, there's no surprise there, but she loves to move! I know my Mom and Dad can't help themselves and are laughing behind my back. Yes--this was me!
Here are some updated pics of Grace. She's getting so big!
I hope to be more on top of this in the future.

8 months old and walking!!
Grace turned 8 months old today. This makes me sad but also excited! Sad that Grace is growing up so incredibly fast. Excited at all the new things she can do and all the cool things she will start doing really soon. Throughout the last week Grace has been making her best attempts at walking. She took 4 steps to Dad last night! When she really wants to get someplace, she crawls and fast! Her favorite pasttime is chasing the kitties around the house. They indulge her and stay just out of reach the entire time.
Grace still doesn't like food although she has gotten better. She tolerated refried beans--weird, I know!
Our house is full of chaos right now and boxes!
Above are some recent pics of Little G!

We haven't forgotten!
I haven't forgotten you! Life has been hectic in the Byers household lately with David starting a new job this past Monday, the holidays and our impending move! Also, we got a new SLR camera for Christmas which has all of our Christmas photos on it and I haven't a clue how to download them. I'll get there. Grace is standing all on her own! I can't even believe it. She even took a few staggering steps yesterday. Mostly because she was losing her balance but still! My little baby girl is growing up so fast. She is proudly sporting a Starbucks onsie today in honor of Dad's new job. David is now in house counsel at Starbucks and is very excited.
Grace is also working on teeth numbers 3, 4 and 5. Yet, no surprise here, she still doesn't like food--at all! No interest!
I will post pics of the growing girl soon!! Hopefully it's before we move but no promises.
Happy New Year from our home to yours!
